A 20-year veteran of the healthcare communications industry, Mr. Steinberg provides specialized editorial services and strategic counsel to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, medical specialty societies, patient advocacy groups and other organizations engaged in the communication of health-related information.
A member of the American Medical Writers Association, Mr. Steinberg has extensive experience in preparing and editing original research and review articles, posters, position papers, slide presentations, press releases, backgrounders, message track/Q&A documents, newsletters, sales training modules and other marketing materials. His work has appeared in publications such as Cardiovascular Reviews & Reports, Family Practice Recertification, Communiqué, Product Management Today, Physician’s Weekly, Practical Pain Management, and the Journal of Commercial Biotechnology.
Over the course of his career Mr. Steinberg has developed a deep and varied expertise in numerous disease areas including oncology, cardiovascular disease, pain management, respiratory disease, gastroenterology, nephrology, infectious diseases (including HIV/AIDS), metabolic disorders, neurological disorders and genomics. He has held senior positions at Sensei Health, Burson-Marsteller, Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, Medisphere Communications, Inc., Stratis-KPR, Shandwick USA and other healthcare communications agencies. His agency clients have included companies such as Bayer HealthCare, Johnson & Johnson, Amgen, Bristol-Myers Squibb, AstraZeneca, Affymetrix, Cephalon, McNeil Consumer Products, WebMD, the American Geriatrics Society and the American Society of Hypertension.
Mr. Steinberg holds an M.B.A. in Marketing from the Stern School of Business Administration at New York University, and a B.A. in English Literature from Washington University in St. Louis.
